ABBA MODERN

We are a Christ-centered dance group that aims to spread Christian thought and ideals to the Berkeley community through the art of dance and testimony. Abba Modern, founded in 2007, stands at the intersection of Christian faith and dance. We combine elements of open-style, contemporary, and hip-hop movement to create unique dance sets and video projects that are meant to share Christian themes and Gospel messages, as well as start conversations about faith.

How the Team Works

Auditions consist of a learning a dance piece, application, and interview (if invited). We practice on Sundays from 6-8PM and have fellowships on Mondays from 8-10PM. We focus on building a final set to share with the rest of BDC and video projects to share on our social media platforms to reach a wider audience.
