We're a family dedicated to sharing our love and passion for contemporary/modern dance with the greater Berkeley Dance Community.
How the Team Works
Auditions: Auditions are held once at the beginning of each semester. Be on the lookout for Facebook events and Instagram posts (@calkairos). Typically, we host a teach day and audition day. Following that, we reach out to applicants for coffee chats to get to know each individually personally.
Practices: Practices are held twice per week. In the virtual environment, the one practice is dedicated to technique and set-building, while another is dedicated to team bonding and social activities. We also strive to host workshops (both individually and with other Berkeley dance organizations) every semester that are free and open to the greater Berkeley community.
End of semester goal: The final product of our hard work during the semester is a set. In a virtual environment, this will be a video project. In a normal in-person setting, we aim to perform in BDC showcases such as, AFX, [M]ovement, Danceworx, etc.
